Consultations on death penalty litigation with lawyers

It is our belief, at Project 39A, that practice of law, especially criminal law in India requires constant revisiting of practice and strategy in order to go beyond boiler plate averments of law and to present newer and more effective arguments before courts. To this end and to share our learnings with other lawyers, we organised two consultations in 2017 with lawyers practicing in criminal law, including senior advocates. These consultations will be a recurring aspect of our work. Our first consultation with Senior Advocates was held on 14th January, 2017 and the second consultation was held on 18th November.
